Nicknames,I think it fair to say, have many differing opinions on whether they are a sign of endearment or of disrespect. Both are true, depending on whom is assigning the nickname and the intent behind it. I have always been particularity fond of having nicknames, obviously from family and friends of whom love and respect me. Many nicknames have stayed with me since childhood. To this day, to some, I am not Sheena. Rather,I am Beana, Beanie, Sheenie, Sheens... there are quite a few others. Those others, are a little embarrassing and must be understood in context of the story in which they were birthed :) *cough* Dolly *cough* ;) What I enjoy the most about being given a nickname, is that it means you have left an impression. Often times it indicates that you have found a place in someones heart and whether it is out of a funny moment, embarrassing moment, a very evident/dominate character trait etc. when given, these nicknames have a way of making one feel valued,
