Places my feet have tread upon

Bath, UK This lovely place now holds a dear place in my heart. It is a beautiful old city. On our way by train.  Bre and I with our tour guide from the Jane Austen Center   Windsor, Uk We took a day trip to see the Castle and shop.  We were only allowed to take pictures of the outside and not permitted to do so in the inside. I wish I could have, because some of the rooms were incredible .

Odds and Ends

A few signs I found amusing   My Cousin knew how much I wished to share this trip with her and her mom, as they were the ones who introduced me to everything England that I have grown to love. So she sent me 'them' to take with me and share in them seeing the sites with me. I thought it was very creative! =D This was a project the adults worked on over the course of 3 nights; 3D puzzles are a pain!  This is the Cowl my cousin Johanna made me. I love it. I decided to bake some cookies. And thought I'd enjoy a Chai tea that Melanie sent me, while listening to Downton Abbey.   Lego can be rather addictive Master E and I build this together one day. Another goal was to read Emma while in England... I have only a few weeks to achieve that goal! Mornings and I aren't the greatest friends. But I have to say, when I wake up to sites in the sky such as these two days, mornings begin to win me over. Kinda...*yawn*

Looking for the positives while being sick

This week started off lovely. I went to church and it was a wonderful service. I decided to 'take in the air' so I selected my new hat given to me for Christmas by my aunt, and set off with my one headphone, due to the ear issue, to enjoy a lovely day by walking at the local little park. It felt like spring. Not winter. The birds were singing lovely songs. People were out walking their dogs, and playing fetch with them. The play ground was filled with children laughing and playing as parents watched or joined in. I had my phone with me and was able to take a few pictures.(Thanks Risa!)  This tree looked like it was in bloom. Sadly the sun was nearing the end of it's permitting shine for the day and so weren't as bright as I had hoped but none the less you get the idea.

Bringing in the New Year!

I spent NYE with a small group from the connect group at church. This is Faith, who has been such a kind friend to me since I arrived! She has been so faithful to pick me up for church and small group. I had a lovely time, and enjoyed the 'newness' of it all! We had 'take away' (for my Canadian friends that means take out food ) Which here usually means Indian food On to the game portion of the evening And the countdown begins     It was fantastic not to have to watch 'The Ball' drop on tv (which I always find to be a over hyped let down) The fire works were incredible! Welcome to January 2012 My prayer is to grow to know the love and truth of God more each day as I move forward into a new year. And may you also come to know Him and love Him more each day.
